"The Show That Made Country Music Famous."

Hey Guys!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday!! The campground we are at has poor internet when it rains!! Yesterday we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame it was really cool! There is a lot of history in country music, we got to see their clothes, cars, and the the songs they wrote on the original paper. It took us 3 hours to go through the whole museum, it was two floors packed with information. When you come to the end of the museum you reach the "Hall of Fame" with all the plaques of the people that have been inducted into it. It was so big and it was so grand! That night we were all tired so we decided to eat out and we went to cracker barrel, it was very good! We don't have cable at the campground so we decided to rent a movie, we rented Letters to Juliet love that movie :) This morning we got up and did our school work and took some tests, then we decided to go to the Parthenon. The Parthenon in Nashville is an exact replica of the original one in Greece, when you drive up to it its huge!! We bought our tickets and looked at all the pictures and paintings inside, they were very pretty! After looking at all the beautiful paintings we went upstairs and I cant even put into words what it looks like its so grand!! I am posting pictures so you can look at it for real, just remember its huge in there! :) When we were done at the Parthenon we went on a tour at the Grand Ole Opry! The tour was FANTASTIC!!! If you ever come to Nashville you HAVE to go on that tour! They first take you in the lobby and have you watch a movie about the history of the Grand Ole Opry, then they take you outside and lead you through the stars entrance. The stars park in the back of the Opry and walk in the back door, when you drive in the parking lot there is a security guard and no one gets past him unless your name is one the list no matter how famous you are! When you walk in the back door you go through more security and if you name is not on his list your not allowed in, the lady told us that if Garth Brooks is performing and his wife Trisha comes with him she is not allowed in if her name is not on the list. In the same room as the security office is the mail wall they said if you send a letter to Grand Ole Opry and nothing else on it the letter will still go to the Grand Ole Opry, because they are the only one in the world! Next she showed us the stars dressing rooms, they do not give you a room based on how popular you are they give you a room based on how big the group your preforming with is. She took us to the "Green Room" next, the green room is a room where the stars can sit and talk to one another and just catch up with each other about their family's. We went backstage next, backstage is nothing special its just concrete, walls and some sound equipment. When you walk out on stage it almost takes your breath away the stage is nothing grand but its all made of wood and its beautiful. Just thinking about all the stars walking out on that stage it blows your mind! They have a piece of round wood from the Ryman Auditorium where the microphone is they say that the "circle gives newcomers and veterans alike the opportunity to sing on the same spot that once supported Uncle Dave Macon, Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, and others." Standing on the circle was so cool! After your done taking pictures on the stage they lead you through the seats and out to the lobby. The tour was over but we were still in awe over the Grand Ole Opry, next time I come to Nashville I want to see a show there! Well thats it tonight guys hope you enjoyed the pictures and the info!! :) Tomorrow we will be heading to Georgia to go to Stone Mountain! Talk to you tomorrow :)
